Remove the lid and set it aside. Make a nest with the bath towel to cuddle the jar while you apply the stencils. 2. Place the Merry Christmas stencil at the upper portion of the jar. 3. Apply the Christmas tree stencil below the first stencil 4. Smooth the stencils down with your finger so they are laying flat onto the glass. Check for any places that are buckled or distorted and adjust the stencil until it looks proper. 5. Cover all exposed areas of the glass with masking tape, overlapping all the edges of the stencil and other pieces of tape. Entire side of the jar should be covered with either stencil or tape 6. Put on the gloves and apply the Etch Cream with the brush. Pat the cream on each stencil until the design is completely covered with 1/4 inch of cream. If your etching is not bright enough (this can occur because of the color of the wax), you can apply the white Rub n Buff to the etching (do this before applying the rhinestones) 11. Squeeze a tiny amount of glue in the scrap of tin foil. Dip the toothpick in the glue and daub the dot of glue wherever you would like to put a rhinestone. Apply the stone with tweezers 12. Tie a red ribbon around the neck of the candle to finish. |
