Since the pineapple is the symbol for hospitality, why not etch some glass plates to make your guests feel at home..
Materials: #15- 0200 Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream. #21- 1686 Over N Over stencil- Tutti Fruitti #21- 1617 Over N Over stencil- Wedding Font #60- 7023 7.5 inch Glass Plate #08- 9606 Brushes. #08- 9999 Gloves. #08- 9415 Masking tape. Soft paper towels. Directions: 1. Wash the plate in hot, soapy dish water and dry with a soft paper towel. 2. Apply the lettering for WELCOME around the inner rim of the plate, following the curve of the glass. overlapping the bottom edges where the stencils meet (there will be a gap between the upper edges which need to be covered with wedges of masking tape). Apply the pinnaple stencil to thecenter of the plate. 3. Cover all the glass around the stencils with masking tape, overlapping all edges. Cover enough area so that none of the rinse water will touch any of the glass not to be etched while rinsing. Cover all the way up to the rim and over the edge to the backside by 1 inch. 4. Put on the rubber gloves. Load the brush with Armour Glass Etching cream. PAT the etch cream onto the stencils (do not brush it on). Cover each one with a 1/4 inch layer of cream. View the directions and How To Videos HERE. 5. Leave cream on for 5 minutes 6. Hold the plate at an angle so the rinse water will flow in one direction while rinsing. Rinse off all the etch cream under warm running water. Remove the stencils and masking tape and rinse again. Pat the stencils dry and return to the carrier sheet. |
