Directions:
- Gently remove the metal
cap from the ball and set aside.
- Clean the ball with
glass cleaner by spraying the cleaner onto a paper towel and rolling the
ball around in the towel.
- Apply the mustache
stencil to the middle of the ball.
Over the top of the mustache, apply two sets of HO HO angling them
left and right (see picture) and a third HO under the mustache.
- Surround stencils with
masking tape and cover the hole at the top.
- PAT the Armour Etch
glass etching cream evenly on the stencils, do not brush the cream on.
View the directions and How To video HERE.
Wait 5 minutes.
- Turn the ball upside down (so no water or cream goes inside the
ball) and rinse off all the Etch cream under running warm water.
Remove tape and stencils and rinse again. Pat dry
- Tear off a piece of paper towel and wrap it around your finger.
Squeeze a very small dab of white Rub N Buff on the tip of your wrapped
finger. Smear the RNB all over the etchings. Keep wiping and the excess
RNB will pick back up off the shiny glass and only stick to the etching.
Work quickly while RNB is still soft. Turn towel around and buff.
- Pour some Glitter It glue into the ball.
Swish and swirl the glue around until the entire inside has been coated.
Pour the excess glue back into the bottle.
- Place ball upside down into the paper cup to drain. Leave in cup
about 15 minutes
- Lay down a piece of wax paper on your work surface to catch
glitter. Hold the ball over the wax paper and pour about a teaspoon of the red glitter inside. Shake ball to distribute the glitter evenly
on the entire inside. Roll around a few times to make sure the ball has
been coated well.
- Dump out the excess glitter
onto the wax paper. Remove any lumps. Fold the wax paper in
half and pour the glitter back into the tube.
- Very gently place the metal cap back on the ornament, easing it
back on. Do not let the prongs spring open, It could cause the ball to crack or disturb the glitter.
- Glue lime green bow near the cap over the etchings and add a
hanging cord
