Materials: #15-0200 Armour Etch Cream #21-1635 Over n Over-Reverse Letters (5 stencils) #08-9999 Rubber gloves #08-9606 Brushes 60-7024 Glass dinner plates #08-9415 Masking tape Paper towels Black washable marker Ruler Directions: 1. Wash plate with hot, soapy dish detergent, rinse & dry well. 2. Turn plate over to the backside. With the washable marker and ruler, mark a line down the center of the plate, dividing it in half. 3. Turn plate over with the marked line vertically in front of you. 4. Take the balloon stencils off the cover sheets. Trim the some of the vinyl from the sides. For the word HAPPY, start the first row of balloons at the upper half of the plate. Place one balloon directly over the vertical line, then two to the left and two to the right, creating a slight arch and overlapping the stencils tightly left to right (follow picture as a guide) 5. Place each letter that spells HAPPY in the center of each balloon. 6. Protect all of the exposed glass on the face of the plate with masking tape. Overlap the edges of both the stencil and the tape. If some of the stencils that overlap each other look like they have gaps, are buckled or do not want to stay down tightly, cut skinny strips of masking tape and secure them along the entire side that is lifting. 7. Put on the gloves. Load your brush with some Armour Etch glass etching cream and PAT the cream on the stencils. Do not brush it on like you are painting, it will not etch brightly Follow the directions that come with the Over n Over stencils. View the directions and How To Video here 8. Wait 5 minutes. Holding the plate at an angle, rinse off all the Etch cream, be careful not to let the etch cream run onto the underside of the dish. Remove tape and stencils and rinse again. 9. Repeat steps 4 thru 7, centering BIRTH then DAY, under the Happy. You may have to re-apply the vertical line on the backside of the plate each time too if you need too.
