This fairytale brass box is etched with Cinderellas coach and glass slipper. Lovely gift for a young girls jewelry.
Materials: #15-0200 Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream. #21-1676 Over N Over stencil-FairyTales #15-0315 Glass cleaner. #08-9606 Brushes. #08-9999 Gloves. #08-9415 Masking tape. #61-3340 Dazzle Tac Glue #61-3501 Tweezers Rhinestones Paper towels. Brass beveled jewelry box Toothpick Aluminum foil scrap (for glue tray) Directions: 1. Clean the areas of the glass with glass cleaner and paper towels where the stencils will go. 2. Apply the carriage stencil on the lid with the fairy stencil to the upper right side. Apply one set of stars over the carriage and the other to the left side. 3. Apply the shoe stencil across the front panel of the box and the wand stencil to the right of it. 4 .Surround the stencils with masking tape, overlapping all edges, cover all the panels of the glass with tape including the inside of the lid. 5. Put on the rubber gloves. Load the brush with Armour Glass Etching cream. PAT the etch cream onto the stencils (do not brush it on) until each is thoroughly covered with a 1/4 inch of cream. View the directions and How To Videos HERE. 6. Leave cream on for 5 minutes 7. Hold the box with the lid open and dangling downward under the running water. Avoid letting water or cream get inside the box. Pat dry. Turn the box around and hold it with the front panel toward the running water and gently rinse off the cream from the stencils. Pat dry. Remove stencils and return them to the carrier sheet. 8. Clean the stencilled glass with glass cleaner to remove any residue of Etch Cream. 9. Squeeze a small amount of glue out onto the tin foil. Dip the toothpick in the glue and dot around the stars (see picture). Using tweezers, apply the rhinestones on the glue dots and press them down. |
