Bling-rhinestones, scrapbooking charms, jewelry findings, etc
Directions: 1. Wash the wine glass in clean, hot soapy water and dry with a soft paper towel. 2. Apply the crest stencil to the center of the glass. 3. Cover all the glass around the stencil with masking tape, overlapping all edges. Cover enough area so that none of the rinse water will touch any of the glass not to be etched while rinsing and all the way up to the rim. 4. Put on the rubber gloves. Load the brush with Armour Glass Etching cream. PAT the etch cream onto the stencils (do not brush it on). Cover each one with a 1/4 inch layer of cream. View the directions and How To Videos HERE. 5. Leave cream on for 5 minutes 6. Hold the glass upside down so all the water runs off over the covered area of the glass and not into the inside of the glass. Rinse off all the etch cream under warm running water. Remove the stencil and masking tape and rinse again. Pat the stencil dry and return to the carrier sheet. 7. To etch another design in the center of the crest, choose one that is small enough to fit in the center. We chose the peacock head for one glass, and for the other, just the womans head from the Happily Ever After sheet. The mans head was covered over with masking tape. After you center the stencil in the center of the etched crest, repeat the etching steps 3 thru 6. 8. Embellish the crests with rhinestones, flat backed pearls and other elements. We recommend that even if the bling has adhesive on the back you glue them on with Dazzle Tac, so they will stay on during hand washing. |
