This cube vase- turned Easter daisy basket is so pretty, you will want to keep it out all spring!
We took a large cube vase and etched it with the Rub N Etch daisies. Then we added paper die cut daisies and a daisy laced handle and transformed it into an adorable spring Easter Basket.

#12-7024 Designer Rub N Etch stencils- Floral Designs, 2 pks
#61-3340 Dazzle Tac Glue
#08-9415 masking tape
# 15-0315 glass cleaner
Cube Vase 5 or 6 inch
28-32 pcs 3-D white paper daisies in varying sizes from a dime up to a quarter
46-48 pcs 3-4 mm yellow rhinestones
1inch x 8 inch strip heavy white poster or chip board
3 yds yellow 1/8 inch satin ribbon
2 wide opening clothes pins
Cut apart and divide the daisy stencils into four groups. Dividing the sizes as evenly as possible For this project you will be etching one side of the vase at a time
Lay the vase on its side so you can work on the flat surface. Arrange the daisy stencils randomly around the glass, but leave enough space to add some paper daisies in between the etched ones later. Hold each stencil in place with a small piece of tape.
Rub down the daisy stencils on the glass. All stencils come with complete instructions.
IMPORTANT: Cover all exposed areas of glass in between and around the stencils, overlapping the edges. Entire side of vase should be covered with either a stencil or tape.
Etch the stencils with Armour Etch Cream. Directions can be found on this site. View the directions and How To Videos. IMPORTANT for this project wait 2 minutes before rinsing.
Wash off with running water.
Remove the stencils.
Clean with glass cleaner and dry completely.
Assembling the basket:
Glue a yellow rhinestone with Dazzle Tac in the center of each glass etched and paper daisy. Let dry.
Glue 3-4 paper daisies of varying sizes between the etched daisies on each side of vase.
To make handle, cut a strip of poster board 1 x 8 inch and two 20 inch pieces of yellow ribbon. Glue one end of each ribbon to end of poster board strip. Crisscross ribbon along strip and glue at other end. This handle is just ornamental and should not be used to lift the vase.
Glue paper daisies along top side of strip, leaving about a half inch on each end exposed.
Loop the yellow bows and glue on the exposed ends of the handle.
